Please Help!!!

have a cluser server with 2 nodes (Both of them were
Windows 2000) which runs SQL 2000.They were working fine
before. But last week we decided to upgrade the servers
to to Windows 2003. We did a rolling upgrade on one node
of the cluster. The upgrade went fine. Then we restarted
both the servers. Then we try to move the groups from
Windows 2000 node to Windows 2003 node.

The cluster group is moving fine. But one of the Disk
(F:) in a disk group is failing. Othe disks in the same
diskgroup is moving fine. But this particular disk(F:) is
failing.

One of the technet article says check the Signature
values in the CurrentControlSet in the Registry of both
the nodes. We checked and they are the same.
We checked the System Log and it gives the following
errors.

1. Cluster service is requesting a bus reset for device
\Device\ClusDisk0.
2. The driver for device \Device\Scsi\aic78xx1 performed
a bus reset upon request.
3. The driver for device \Device\Scsi\ql21001 performed a
bus reset upon request.

Does anybody knows what does this mean?

Please help.

Steve

I would recommend you upgrade your scsi firmware with
latest version on the failing node

rather - upgrade windows 2000 node to 2003 which may
bring the resource back online as by some reason you may
have degraded the resource by keeping one node 2000 and
another 2003
