W2K clients losing shared printer setup

I try to manage(!) a W2K Server network with two Tally
T8006 shared printers set up on the server. Some
workstations run W98 and some W2KPro. I have set up all
clients by connecting to the shared server printers via
the ADD PRINTER route. The W98 ones are fine, but the W2K
machines regularly lose their installations! I mean that
after a while they show no printers set up and I have to
reinstall them. Has anyone come across this problem? Love
some help! Thanks. Ian

Have u tried the command
rundll32 printui.dll, printUIEntry etc, etc.
Look at article 314486 on the MS Knowledge Base. We are
a school environment with many users using the same
machines. It was enough to drive us nutz. However, this
command had helped us with W2K pcs. We have since
upgraded the os to Win XP and found we still had to run
the command with those, too! Good luck.
