W2k and Com ports problems

In this community two users has wrote yours problems about com ports and terminal server. Good

My scenery is

Server with W2
Client with XP Prof
Scale with COM port to send data to Clien
Application reads this data and translate to a numbers

If this application runs in Client (local) works properly, If application is in server and runs in Terminal Server don´t work because the redirection of com ports in w2k does not exist and the application don´ receive data. Exist any solution for this? Or the only solution is upgrade the server to W2k3 for to mapping com ports

Either upgrade to Windows 2003 Terminal Services, or use a 3th party add-on like Citrix.
