W2003 terminal services GPO section not available

T

Tim Oliwiak

Here is the situation:

We have a domain with all Windows 2000 domain controllers.
2 member servers are Windows 2003, running Terminal
Services. They are in their own OU. When we create a
GPO
for that OU, the Terminal Services section under the
Computer part of the GPO does not appear. It is there
when we check the local policy of the Windows 2003
terminal servers though.
Is there any way that we can apply the Terminal Services
specific setting through a GPO?

Thanks for your help.

Had the same problem ourselves. All DC's are Win2000. Member server is
Win2003. Want to run GPO on Win2k3 running terminal services. Found the
terminal services tab missing in GPO on Win2k server.
Fixed by running adprep /forestprep then adprep /domainprep from Win2003 CD
(as in TID278875) on master Win2k DC. Tried GPO on Win2k3 server - found
terminal services tab - went back to Win2000 server GPO object now has the
TS tab.
