W2000 Only Formats 127GB of 250GB Drive

I put together a Compaq EVO D515 w/ a new Hitachi 250 GB HD & 1GB
RAM. The full drive is recognized by the BIOS.
I installed W2000Pro but only 127GB of the drive is
formatted/recognized by W2000, (NTFS). I've added SP4 but before
going further I'd like to reclaim the rest of the drive. Is this
something MS software can do or am I looking at getting some third
party SW?
Also, is it a start over deal or can it be continued from where the
box is at present?
Thanks,
Dick

You can use Disk Management to create a partition in the free space.
The reason being that your win2k installation cd does not have the enable
bigLba fix, you can in future get round this by creating a slipstreamed win
cd containing the latest sp

One more question.
Does SP4 include bigLBA fix or is an even later RollUp required?
SP3 or SP4 supports 48-bit LBA, provided you enable it with
EnableBigLba in the registry.
