W2000 dynamic Harddisk Mirror

Creating a mirror on Windows 2000 Server starts and fails at 12 % with "read
error from source drive".
Checkdsk on System Boot (5 phases) finds no errors and the Harddisk works,
can be backed up and copied.

How can I create a mirror with all readable data and ignore bad Harddisk
Sectors?

That fits in with the usual proclamation you will see in these groups
about SOFTWARE RAID should be avoided due to the compromises involved.
