W XP/Norton anti virus

Made the mistake of upgrading to xp from win 98se without
uninstalling Norton anti virus. Norton no longer works and
i can't delete it or re-install it. What do i do now?

You can go online to the Symantec/Norton website for immediate help

Go to Symantec's site as suggested and download both >> Rnav2003.exe and
SYMCLN.exe << files and read the notes about these and what they can and
can't do.

Be sure to uninstall LiveUpdate and LiveReg if they show as installed and
manually delete and Symantec folders (do a search). Since Norton was not
installed under XP, there should be no registry entries that will keep it
from reinstalling.

This should allow you to reload.
