Vxd drivers for COM ports in XP ?

It is my understanding that XP does not have Vxd drivers, and I want to use a 3rd party demodulator interface for decoding radio frequency signals on my PC. Here is the link / address to the site : http://www.pervisell.com/ham/hardware.htm
it says in bold type : Demodulators PLEASE NOTE that Windows XP (and also NT and 2000) do not have the vxd support for demodulators - Windows 98 SE is still the best all round program for this purpose. Is there a software driver available for this use in XP ? or a work around to enable this piece of hardware to work on XP

Thanks, Bria

The problem is with a virtual device extension (Vxd) is that it is a 16-bit protected mode interface. It was deprecated with the unleashing of NT, 2000, and XP. You might try running VM Ware and having it contain 98 under XP.
