VX2BetterInternet and Purity Scan removal help please!

I am having a problem permanently deleting these 2 annoying bugs... One is
Purity scan, the other is
VX2BetterInternet. Actually, I had a bunch of trojans running amok in my
system due to one error in judgement opening a zip from a friend. I was able
to get rid of all the other pests, but these two are driving me crazy..I
have Windows XP and I am very new to computers. I am running Spy Sweeper,
Pest patrol, Spyware Blaster, GuardWall, Norton anti virus and my Windows XP
Firewall. Pest Patrol keeps deleting the 2 bugs, but they come back.. Purity
comes back on reboot, BetterInternet comes back right after deletion. Both
bugs were removed from the registry manually by a friend of mine, but
returned. Pest Patrol gives step by step on how to manually remove them, but
it is like a foreign language to me. I am too new to computers and I am
afraid to attempt the manual removal. Any help would be appreciated. My
email is
(e-mail address removed).
Thanks in advance

Hi I had the same problem myself with the betterinternet stuff. I
couldn't remove it because it all came back again. I tried to remove it
with Spy Sweeper and Norton but none of them worked so I decidedto
formatt my computers hard drive and that did get rid of it and it has
never come back since. I suggest that you ask a friend or someone that
knows about computers to format your computer for you and this should
remove it and stop it from coming back!

DONT TRY THIS YOURSELF as you need to know what you are doing in FDISK
which is in DOS!!!!!!

Hope you find this useful
