Vx2.Narrator Toolbar

What is the status of this spyware? I have not been able to remove it with
Microsoft AntiSpyware, SpyBot, or Ad-Aware.

I did a search on the internet and could not find a tool and/or procedure
that safely removes this nuisance.

There is no tool to remove it, and it is actually only a
tiny part of a much larger infection that requires some
guidance to properly clean.

Google for "vx2 hijackthis" and you will find some folks
that will cheerfully help you get fixed up.
 
You could do it standing on your head and it isn't going
to do any good. This strain of VX2 uses a rootkit to
hide, and uses many random named files that monitor each
other.

There is a tool in the beta stages, but it is only for
XP/2000.
