In trying to solve all of my adware/malware problems (thanks so much to those
who have posted suggestions!) I have become aware of a nasty trojan known as
vundo. When I run Ad-Aware it shows up as Virtumonde and Virtumundo. I
remove it but it continues to come back. Spybot doesn't detect it at all.
My McAfee antivirus doesn't detect it either. I have been battling it for
quite some time. I have found a removal tool through Symantec, but I was
told I should put it on a floppy (via another computer) before running it. I
don't have another computer in my home, and am wondering if that is really
necessary. Has anyone successfully removed this trojan using the Symantec
removal tool or by any other means?
