Hi all,

Finally got around to installing a new SCSI card for my SprintScan on a computer running Fedora Core 4. The device is recognized, as seen in /var/log/messages at boot:

dc395x: Performing initial SCSI bus reset
scsi4 : Tekram DC395(U/UW/F), DC315(U) - ASIC TRM-S1040 v2.05, 2004/03/08
Vendor: POLAROID Model: 35MM Rev: 5.90
Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Attached scsi generic sg0 at scsi2, channel 0, id 0, lun 0, type 0
Attached scsi generic sg1 at scsi3, channel 0, id 0, lun 0, type 0
Attached scsi generic sg2 at scsi4, channel 0, id 3, lun 0, type 6

The Hardware Browser application also shows that the scanner (POLAROID 35MM) is present on /dev/sg2. VueScan insists that no scanner is attached, though. The SprintScan 35+ is on the supported scanner list but there's no information on what to do if it can't recognized the scanner (i.e., ini file settings or command line options...).

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
