When attempting to update a web from FrontPage 2000 file
transfer appears to be commencing OK but then I get a
message "cannot create file "_vti_cnf_".

Any help would be appreciated - bear in mind I am a
newbie!

If you are publishing to a server that has the FP extensions, then you need to contact your host and
ask them to run a check on the extensions and/or the permissions for your account.

Make sure you have the right Server type selected, in FP2002 it is under
the Tools/Page Otions/Compatability
tab.
