VPU recover error

Hi

I have a problem with my Club3d Radeon 9200SE 128mb. When I start a game,
whatever game that I want to play (e.g. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of
Azkaban or Midnight Club), my PC begins to freeze and shows a windows which
says "VPU recover ....", and asks to send a email to ATI.

I´ve sent, at least 50 emails, but I have no answer. I had, also a Radeon
9600 LE, with 256 mb and it repeated the error.

I tried Catalysts from 4.1 through 4.6, and, right now, I´m using Omega´s
4.6, and underclocked the video card, but nothing.

Right now, my computer is set with AGP 2x, fast-write off and write
combining off. and has the problem. I set the computer to AGP 4x and has the
problem. I formatted the computer and reinstalled everything, but nothing.

I have a Pentium III, 1Ghz. 1,128 Mb ram, a 400W power supply, sound blaster
live 5.1 digital, DVD LG and CD R/RW LG.

Please help me, because I don´t know what to do.

Thanks

Victor

Switch off VPU Recover - it can make your system unstable and cause the
errors NOT just report them.

Same as I'm telling everybody else ... you left remnants
of the old drivers, so Cat 4.5 did not clean up the mess.
You have to use the ATI uninstall program and sweep
your system before installing Cat 4.5. That will stop
the problem.

You may have inadequate cooling for the GPU.
What is your case temperature right after a crash?

I found the reason for the error. It was a faulty memory (512 Mb PC133) that
made all this problems. I tested the RAM of my computer and had 2 errors.
So, I changed the faulty RAM and everything´s perfect.

My advice: Check the memory if you have this problem and you can´t figure
how to solve it, because you´ve tested everything, and it happened again,
and again, and....

Really, Thank you so much for your help. I owe you one...:-D
