Does anyone know what ports need to be open for VPN to
work properly. I'm get an error message 751. Called
Linksys and was directed to Microsoft for the port
information.

For the PPTP VPN open TCP Port 1723 and enable "PPTP Pass Through" (GRE Protocol 47) on the Linksys
router.

Al,
I have model BEFSR41, firmware 1.44.3 2/2003, I'm using
Dial up in Win 98 and VPN in XP Pro. I can get if I set
the DMZ IP on the router, but that leads me to believe
that I must be missing a port number and when I called
Linksys they said all the ports are open through DMZ so
the only solution they had was for me to find out what
ports need to be open so i can eliminate using the DMZ.
