VPN subnet trouble

I'm trying to connect to work using pptp. The connection
is being made to our Cisco Pix 515. I can connect and
authenticate, however using ipconfig, it says my subnet is
255.255.255.255, rather than the appropriate
255.255.128.0, therefore rendering me unable to connect to
the LAN.

Is this a Pix configuration error, or do I have my client
computer configured wrong?

If the PIX is doing the DHCP assignment (which it
usually will be configured to do), then you need to
relax the policies in the PIX. At any rate it is not a
client configuration error.

A bit off-topic, but if you are using a PIX, there are
better VPN protocol choices than PPTP, assuming you
don't mind using the VPN client software.

ipconfig normally shows the wrong netmask on a dialup/vpn connection. (feature?)
Try pinging hosts on the remote network.
