VPN Question for Windows 2000

I am looking @ installing a VPN device @ a small
business. However, this small business uses windows 2000
desktop as a file server. NOT WINDOWS 2000 SERVER.. JUST
WINDOWS 2000.

When I tunnel into the VPN box will I be able to see the
shared drives on this desktop? Does it even have a wins
service available so that I can use an lmhost file on the
remote pc to find it??


Any help would be appreciated..
 
You should be able to access the 2k pro box just the same as you normally
would across the vpn device. 2k pro does not have a wins server. Be
advised though you are still limited to 2k 10 concurrent connection limit
for print/file shares.
