VPN lt2p/ipsec preshare key

I'm trying to test this feature with Win2003 Std. RAS... pptp works fine but
when trying to connect from lt2p preshare key enabled on both client/server
with exact keys, it does not work. It came back with "error 678: the remote
computer did not respond". I check all the ports and enabled 500/1701 udp and
4500 from my firewall and still no luck. help!!

Normally, VPN error 678 means a connection issue. I would use the internal workstation test it first. If it works in the LAN, I would focus on the firewall settings.
