Is there any way to VPN to our corporate network, from a XP Home machine ?

I thought I remembered that this was only possible from XP Pro - has that
situation changed ? Or am I just wrong ?

Thanks

JM

Have you tried it?

Control Panel, Network Connections, Make New Connection.

If you have VPN listed (Connect to the network at my workplace)
then you should be able to.

That is...as long as your VPN end device at work supports the Microsoft VPN connection.
Some require proprietary software.

Thanks for your reply

I am supportimg this via phone -

They SWEAR there is no option to "Connect to my workplace" - rather, there
is an option to "connect to a business network .." (??)

I am very familiar with W2K and XP Pro - this is not an option in those (at
least that I have seen)

any help ?

Thanks again

JM

All of our Windows XP machines have "Connect to the network at my
workplace" for when we setup PPTP tunnels.
