vpn error

i have configured a vpn server using windows xp pro on a
machine that has internet access via a gprs modem. when i
try to connect to the server i always get the error (your
username or pass is wrong). i'm sure that they're right.
i've already phoned the isp company asking them if there
waas any problem from they're side, but they told that i
should be able to set up a vpn server.

can anybody help me
