VPN error 734

KLatz

I am trying to establish a connection between my XP Home
Ed. and work. I have tried all solutions in the MS KB
article for troubleshooting this problem.
Error is "The PPP link control protocol was terminated"
and it occurs after "Connecting..." then "Verifying
username and password" then "Registering your computer on
the network"

Can anyone help?

10. Right-click the failing dial-up connection and press
Properties.
11. Select the Security tab.
12. Toggle the drop-down box to Allow unsecured password
and press OK.

My drop down box has two choices: "Require Secure
Password" and "Use Smart Card"

Any insight???

Thanks!

Try the Networking tab and then settings (toward the top).
