VPN/DNS address

when my clients connect via PPTP to my RRAS VPN box, they're getting the DNS
address of my ISP (public IP address) and not my internal DNS server which
resolves my internal name space. Where do I change this?

Thanks

The clients usually receive the name server addresses which are
configured on the RRAS server. You can always set them manually in the
dialup properties of the client.

Thanks. I created the PPTP client connection and manually entered two DNS
addresses. The first one is 192.168.x.x which is the private address of the
VPN server which is also the internal DNS server (I figured I needed this
since the main reason they'll be using the VPN is to connected and use MAPI
via Outlook 2003 to Exchange 2003 server). The second DNS address is the
Public ISP address.

I connect in no problem and can use MAPI, however, when I launch a browser,
I can't get out to websites ???

Any ideas?

Thanks

Generally a vpn client cant browse the internet through the tunnelled
connection and out the server the other end. You need to make sure you turn
off "use default gateway on remote network" in the tcp/ip properties of the
pptp connection. You should then get anything using the 192.168.x.x range
using the pptp link and anything else will use the default gateway of the pc
which will be your normal internet connection.
