VPN Connected But Mapped Drives Will Not

I am using XP Professional and have a VPN connection to
the corporate server. I am able to connect to the server
but am unable to map the drives. I've used both the
server's name and the IP address while mapping the drives.
My other laptop using 2000 Professional connects
flawlessly.

Any suggestions?

Is it possible that you are using a firewall? I have a Windows XP Professional laptop, and I was unable to map drives from the VPN connection until I made some firewall adjustments. If you are running a personal firewall product, I would suggest disabling it and trying to map the drives. If that works, then you know that the firewall is the issue. From there, you should be able to make the necessary configuration changes.
