VPMSECE.DLL

I'm running Outlook 2003, but had this problem with
Outlook 2000 before I upgraded. WHen I start Outlook I
get an error message saying that the file c:/Program
Files/navNT/vpmsece.dll could not be found. The dialog
box says that the problem may be fixed using 'detect and
repair' however that does not work. Can anyone tell me
where I can get this driver so I can stop the error
message? Many thanks....

Lisa,

Close Outlook. Then locate and delete the following file:

Extend.dat

When you reopen Outlook the file will be rebuilt and it
will point to the appropriate place.

Pretty simple...I know...I had the same problem with a
employee's computer two days ago and found this
information on Symantec's website (www.symantec.com).
(It's a conflict that occurs when upgrading Norton
Antivirus.)

Here is a website with three other methods of correcting
the problem:

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-
security.nsf/552ba2f7636bedf088256818006f78bf/29706691a1cc6
68c88256a220026a9eb?OpenDocument&src=bar_sch_nam

....Or do a search on Symantec's website using the
following terms: Outlook vpmsece.dll error .....

The top two returns should do the trick for you.

Hope this helps.
