Vox Proxy looking much better now, thanks

M

Michael West

In a previous post I complained that I had not received
responses to my requests for support from the Vox Proxy
product support team.

I want to state that I am now in communication with
Vox Proxy staff, and it appears that there may have
an e-mail server problem of some sort (still investigating)
that caused the break-down.

In the meantime, some of the problems I was having
disappeared when I uninstalled, cleaned the registry,
and re-installed. Other possible problems are still
being tested, and I'll give a report here later.

Thanks to Lon (here) and to Tom Atkins at Vox Proxy
for their assistance.

Thanks for letting us know. It was The Right Thing To Do. <g>

I had a very similar-sounding mail problem a while back; email a client set me
just disappeared into the bitbucket.

It turns out that his organization's ip/domain name had somehow been placed on
one of the anti-spam blacklists (due to a misconfigured server, not because of
anything nasty they'd done as it turns out). Anyhow, since I have my ISP
filter out mail from known spammers, his mail kept getting whacked.

I set a Permit filter for his specific email address to fix it.

FWIW.
