Big Daddy On Da Mike

A friend made a DVD of an old tape. He sent it to me but neither my PC
or my DVD player recognize it. yet he says he used it as a master copy
to make duplications for himself and they worked fine.
\
I run XP Pro, and the disc , when I try to access the files, says
"Windows cannot read from this disc. The disc might be corrupted or
format...blah...doesn't recognize...etc..."

What can I do to watch this DVD?

Buy the same brand DVD player your friend has. Really. If you want to have
some fun sometime, go into your local Best Buy, Circuit City or favorite
audio/video superstore. Look at the DVD players. Pay particular attention
to the formats they are capable of playing or reading. Not all DVD players
can play or read the same formats. This is even more pronounced between
brands from Europe and from Japan or Taiwan. This is most likely why you
can't play the DVD. Or it is not in the VCD format to begin with. Have
your friend burn another copy only this time burn it strictly in ISO format
and make sure it is finalized.
