Volume is not working????????????

I can't listen to any music or anything. I've
checked the "master volume" and nothing is mute. I've
also tried to adjust those settings. I also tried
the "system sounds" and nothing seems to be working. What
could be the problem??????????

See if the speakers are plugged in, and plugged into the speaker jack not the mic or line in.

Because if sound isn't working then you can't access any volume controls. As you can it's working. Therefore suspect cables etc.
