Volume control

My volume control keeps disappearing from the task bar. I
can make it come back by clearing then rechecking "Place
volume icon in the taskbar" under Sounds and Audio
Devices Properties. How do I make it stay permanently?

Ken, try rt clicking on Taskbar select Properties and uncheck Hide
inactive Icons.
 
That was helpful for another problem, but it didn't help
with keeping the volume control displayed. Any other
ideas?
