Volume control icon in taskbar

my volume control will not go in the taskbar, and it says
that the program was deleted.


i know that you need a windows xp cd to get the program
back. but what if i dont have the windows xp cd? i only
have emergency recovery cds that came with my computer
(powerspec)
it came with windows xp home

this is really horrible for me because i use my computer
mostly for music, but i cant even change the volume for it
anymore.

can anyone helP?

Check if you can find the Windows XP source files on the harddisk or
the Windows-CD. If so, you can extract the missing file with
MSCONFIG.EXE. If no, contact the hardware manufacturer for help.
