My original PC had 2 HD's in it: -
Main Disk (O/S etc)
Sub Disk (daily robocopy image of selected items, i.e. my docs, %user%
documents and settings folder etc.)
I recently bought a new PC, so i temp connected the 2 HD's to my new PC,
hoping to copy data across.
This worked fine on the C: drive but i kept getting access denied on D:
If i put the drives back in the original PC, i can access them ok.
First thing i thougt about is permissions.
I only use simple filesharing at home, so i had to enable proper to see
security. Both C: and D: from the old PC seemed to have the same settings.
Any ideas why i couldnt access HD#2 in the new PC?
I need to be able to access the material from any PC incase my main drive
goes tits up, lol!
I'm sure i've done this ok before.
Bemused!
Thanks
Neil
