Voicemail?

I am told that Windows XP has the capability of using your computer to
receive voice mail for incoming land line calls. Do I need special
software, if so can someone recommend it?

Any idea how either one of these would interact with Winfax or the XP fax
program?

Sorry, no I don't. Remember, you can do a simple System Restore if it snarls
anything up.

I recall I used to have one (didn't use it, though) which combined fax
and voice mail ... I presume they worked together. The software came
with the 9600 baud modem. So ... look for software that has both
functions, and you should be ok.

That is what I am trying to find so the program can distinguish between an
incoming voicemail or fax. I have an old, relatively expense program
Symantec used to make (Talkworks) that is perfect but I don't believe it
supports WinXP. Most of the people at Symantec have never heard of it and
of course they offer no support for it.
