I am running vnc on my main pc and laptop through a wireless gateway/router.
I can connect from my pc to laptop but not the other way. I have figured out
that the xp firewall on my main PC is stopping the VNCconnection attemp from
my laptop. How do I configure the firewall to accept the connection without
compromising my security?

Do the following: Right click on your network connection for the wireless
network and click the Advance tab. You already have the firewall box checked
now look at the bottom and click on the Settings button. This will bring up
the Services tab. Now click on the Add button and fill in the required
information. Your port number will either be 5900 or 5901. Hope this helps.
