VMWare or Virtual PC

Does anyone know if there is a build of VMWare or Virtual PC that can be
installed and run on a Vista Beta 2 computer?

VMware workstation 5.5 will only install on host PC with Windows 2000 / XP /
2003.
Guest OS can be Vista x86 or x64 - I have both running.

Can I install Windows Vista in a Virtual environment and which software do
you recommend?
First of all, I would say Virtual PC 2004 is not a recommend choice, but
persons have been successful. I recommend using VM Ware Workstation 5.5 or
Virtual Server 2005 R2. VM Ware Workstation 5.5 preferrably. The more RAM
you assign to the Virtual Machine, the better the experience, I recommend a
minimum of 512 MBs or more.
You can download the VM Ware trial here:

Virtual Server 2005 R2:

You're missing the point of his question. He's not asking if he can install
Vista as a guest OS in a VMWare/VirtualPC/VirtualServer, he's asking if any
of those will run on Vista with Vista being the host OS.

And XP Pro x64.

That's not the way I read it. I read Vista installed into VMWare ("in a
virtual environment")

Vista does run in VMWare Server, but without Aero Glass.

He's asking about VMWare installed and run ON a Vista Beta PC.

And not about Vista installed an run ON/IN a VMWare Virtual PC.

I suppose I should clarify this so that no one misunderstands;

I am running Vista Beta 2 on my computer right now.

I would like to have a build of either VMWare or Virtual PC that will
install and run on a computer running Vista Beta 2 as the host Operating
system.

I hope no one is confused.
