Vlookup in another sheet?

In Sheet 1, I have 3 columns. In column 'A' I have a validation in each cell
which allows me to select a players position in a fantasy hockey league that
I am in. In column 'B' I have a validation using an =indirect(A1) which will
list all the players for that position which are located on Sheet 2. Now I
want column 'C' on sheet 1 to copy over from Column 'B' on sheet 1 the
player's salary cost which is located in column 'B' on Sheet 2. Basically I
want Column 'c' on sheet 1 to tell excel to input the player's salary based
on the player's name in column 'B'. I was trying to use index formulas with
little success.
