vlookup from VBA on a closed workbook

Hello

Is there a way to use Vlookup from vba code to get data from a close
file? I am trying to construct a custom function that uses vlooku
mechanism to get data from another file, and for a number of reasons
really would like to keep that other file closed at all times.
