I am considering buying a laptop, namely a Toshiba A60 106
that has 512 RAM, 3.06 Ghz processor, a 60 gigabyte hard
drive, and a Microsoft XP operating system. Can anybody
tell me if Visual Studio.net Academic Version 2002 would
run OK on a laptop wth this spec, or could anybody forsee
any potential problems?.

Hello

Well the spec's on that software package will tell or give
you the basic requirements it should meet. Don't see any reason
why it won't work though

It will work just fine. I have a similarly loaded laptop and Visual
Studio 2005 works just fine on it. The system requirements for 2002 are
not going to be higher than 2005 ;)
