Visual studio .Net License

Hi everybody,

I am going to buy 5 VStudio .Net Enterprise Architect licences and I would
like to know if I get licenses for Visio and Visual SourceSafe with it. I
have been looking for information about this but I find it a little confuse.
Any help will be welcome.

Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Architect does include Visio Enterprise
Architect, with corresponding license, and a license for SourceSafe (for the
developer machine). Enterprise Developer also includes SourceSafe.

With EA, you also get a SQL Server developer license (and BizTalk and
Server), which is highly useful. Here is a comparison chart:

Also, consider an MSDN subscription. It is normally not much more than
VS.NET and gives you licenses, for development, to a wider variety of
products.

You might also wish to consider the option of getting MSDN subscriptions
instead.

subscriptions as well I just need now think which option is more convinence

Just one last question, Visio or VSS need to be installed in the same
computer as VStudio .NET to be a valid license or can it be install .Net and
Visio in differents computers and still be a valid license optio.

Hello Monica,

Wouldnt it be better to buy five MSDN Universal Licenses. You get so much
more software eg All of It!

Enterprise architect was silly money in comparison the last time I checked.

How much are you able to get them from if you dodnt mind me asking.

Its EA edition is actually more money than an annual subscription to msde
despite the fact that msde contains it and every other piece of software
MS has released!

Maybe I'm missing something

Hi Monica,

Given what the other posters have mentioned about MSDE I have to say that
it would be crazy for you to buy EA instead of MSDE. Therse just no comparison

The reason is because the information I found in Microsoft Web page about
prices is that the cost different of MSDN compare with .Net is about $1,000.
One of the product interesant in MSDN is project, but is only the
professional version and I will need the Enterprise because in a short period
of time I will have Project server and for that the user need the enterprise
version, didn't he? It is alway difficul to decided what to choose, but
anyway I am still comparing.
