Visual studio editor

I dont know if this is the right newsgroup but I dont know where else to
post the question.

Something has change in the editor of my VS2005. Everytime I use the
keyboard and type anything the CPU load of my PC goes up to around 50%
making it very slow to write any code.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this strange CPU load?

Try closing all open designer-tabs.

That should help.

Assuming you've tried restarting VS and also tried rebooting, try this:

I noticed that the bookmark doesn't always work .. it was the /resetuserdata
switch that I was referring to.
