Hello,
I am trying to use Visual Source Safe to setup a shared development envirnment with two PCs and an shared ethernet disk. On the ethernet shared disk I have the Access DB ".accdb" file. I have installed the Access Developer Extensions on both PCs. I also have installed Visual Source Safe on both laptops. Both PCs can access the network drive and open the Access db seperatly. I have used MS Access Source Control tab - Create from SourceSafe button to create a VSS database.
The problem : No matter how I configure VSS or Access, when the second user attempts to open the Access Database ".accdb" file Access states that a user has the database already open and kicks the second person out. Am I not understanding how to set this up or how to gain shared access to the Access database?
Can this even be done?
Thanks in advance,
