Hi,

I'm running MSWord 2002 (10.4030.2625) under WinXPHome. I also have
Microsoft Works 7.0 installed. Both came preinstalled on this Dell machine
a year ago. Everything's been fine for a year or so.

Beginning a few days ago, this now happens almost all the time, and I can't
use Word dependably. While working on a Word document, I get:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10\Winword.exe
abnormal program operation
OK

If I press OK, Word closes.

If I launch Word again, I get the Document Recovery task pane listing the
document I was working on (Document 1). If I choose to open it, or save it,
I get the same error message again. I just go in circles.

I found some information here:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;322201

which states: "This problem may occur if the Works in Word Suite Add-in is
installed on your computer." It is installed on this machine.

What is the Works in Word Suite Add-in? If I uninstall it, what are the
changes it will make to Works?

Anyone know why this has just started to happen?

Sincerely,
Bruce
