I'm not sure if this is the correct newsgroup to ask, if its not, please let
me know.

I downloaded Microsoft's Visual C# 2005 and Visual Basic 2005 Express
Editions. I would like to know the differences between these two
programming languages and which one would be better to start with to create
small programs.

Thanks

I would choose C#. Really simple to learn :D.
I've been learning C# for one semester now in school and it is a lot
simpler than C++ and other languages. I've never tried VB but I hope I
will soon learn it :D
If you can't decide, then try BOTH for some time ;)

If you have experience of a previous of a another programming language in
the past, then that may influence which you find easier to learn and the
more intuitive.
