Visual C++ Error

When using internet explorer 6.0 to surf websites on XP
PRO I constantly get the following message.

Visual C++ Runtime Library

RunTime Error !
Program:C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore .exe

can anyone help me out with this
