I am a complete novice with VB and want to try learning the tools.....where

Please note that both Visual Basic 6.0 and Visual Basic.NET are different
products from the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in which you can code
inside an Access mdb file.
If you're not intending to code inside Access, you might want to ask
your question in a newsgroup devoted to the flavor of VB you intend to use.
