Hello,
I have an older Umax Astra 1220S scanner and the software is
outdated for Windows XP.
Does anybody have Vistascan 3.55 or Silverfast Software
they can burn a copy for me ?? It would be much appreciated.
I'll pay your shipping, etc.

Thanks,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Steve

Steve - Laser Soft Imaging provides excellent support for questions on using
SilverFast for quite some time after the purchase. I think we should enable
that support by buying their products.

You can find both available from Umax at:
http://www.umax.com/support/.
Input your scanner model number (select from a list) and your operating
system (select from a list) and it will take you to the page that tells you
about the available drivers and scanner programs.

The ones for your scanner are on CD and have a finite cost. The drivers and
programs are not available for down-load.

I have a Umax 1200S scanner.
I am now using VistaScan32 V3.55 3.1 (32-32) in Windows XP after purchasing
the CD.

You can get free software downloads for Umax devices from the German
website:
http://www.umax.de/support/treiber.htm

They have Scanner, Digital Camera, DVD-Player and SCSI-Controller.
Yes, they do have English versions.
