Vista word documents

Need help when I receive an attachment in my emails which was done via
Microsoft Word. My PC which now has Vista always trys to open it in Note Pad
which then cannot read it. I have Microsoft Word installed
 
Save the attachment to disk and then right click on it and choose Open With
and then choose Word as the default program to open it.
