My new Vista installation wont start without a network connection. It's only
reach the black startup screen with the little running bar at the buttom.
It's not because it's a networkinstallation. Any ideas out there?

Do you mean an Internet Connection or LAN (network connection). There is a
difference.

I suggest you keep running your Vista with an Internet connection on because
it is possible it is looking for upgrades to fix something in the system. Is
it OEM?

It is almost certain in a week time the problem will be over once Vista
found all the software at MS websites.
