Vista Windows mail...removing mail from server, reseting changes?

I've set up my WINDOWS MAIL accounts to keep my mail on the server for 30
days. It worked fine on all other PC's in my house. With windows VISTA, I
set up the account to keep the email on server. It then keeps reseting this
to delete it from the server. I've reset this at least 20-30 times and it
keeps undoing the settings in the account set-up. How do I make this a
permanent change?

Thanks for all the help.

I would remove the account and reboot, then rebuild the account.

Also disable any applications that are scanning your mail, such as AV or
Spam Blockers.

Norton and MacAfee are known to be not friendly to WM, AVG or Avast free AV
are working better, but disable the mail scan by using a custom install of
either.

You may be running a third party security program that is preventing
writes (saving changes) to the registry. Windows Mail is not
compatible with most such security products from McAfee and
Norton. Those will need to be uninstalled, not just disabled.
