Vista will not start up, at all

I have a Dell Inspiron E-1505 with Vista Home Premium.

I have had it for about eight months. It has worked fine until now. I tried
loading a website and the browser acted like it was loading but the computer
itself was doing nothing. Then nothing I did registered shortly before it
froze, so I manually shut it off.

When I tried to start it up again the next day, Nothing happened. The
computer turns on with the Power light, and the Number Lock light on solidly.
The Arrow Lock and Caps lock flash with a regular rhythm for a while before
the computer turns off again. All the while not a single thing happens on the
screen.

There is a game CD in the drive, which will not open at all, so I cannot get
the disc out or put in the installation disc.

Have a pin ready power up and stick the pin in the hole at thefront of your
drive and it should release the disc and this may solve youre problem as the
system is trying to me boot of that disc let me know how go you please.

What you describe is your machine not starting up, not Vista. Call Dell
before your warranty expires. Stick an unrolled paper clip in the drive's
emergency eject hole to release the drawer.

Michael,

Your computer is attempting to boot from your game CD, which is not
going to happen.
You must take a paper clip or another small object and insert it into
the small pinhole in the face of your drive drawer. This will open the drawer
and allow you to remove the game CD.
You should then be able to start your system with no problems. Have a
nice day.
