I have a new Toshiba laptop with Vista, and I don't see the WOW .. Billyboy...
my biggest beef is that when you try to make Vista work over your network
using XP you can't share files or Priners.

I have yet not been able to find out how to Vista laptop, work with my
XP desktop. What is up with this??

Is it a Firewall?, Network sharing?, WHAT? Please I need someone to walk me
thru the steps to set this up so my laptop (vista) can work and network over
my desktop(xp)

Thank you in advance

Well, you have hijacked three different threads now by posting the same
problem. Many will not even see YOUR question unless you start a new
post/thread. If YOU have a problem, YOU should post said problem - not try
to tack it onto someone else's thread.

As far as your Toshiba goes, uninstall everything that has to do with McAfee
and you will likely find everything is now OK.

I ran into the same problem with an acquaintances computer. He didn't
believe me. The next day he called cablevision. The tech went to his office
and ***removed everything McAfee***. He now has no connection problems at
all

Of course, he also has no antivirus, anti spyware, firewall etc.

Had he allowed me to do the work I would have given him "free" alternatives
to the McAfee crap.

Well Richard Im sorry that I was such a criminal in asking for Help..and
posting my problem on line to see if someone could help.

This just proves a point in question, everyone, or anyone representing MS
are so into themself that they become so Narcissistic they think they own
the internet.

Thanks our Lame A___ respones and for God sake forgive for the crime I
commited against your THREAD....J/C

J/C Hugh I thought is was clear what I was asking for HELP...Read it again
if yo dont have a clue dont respond...Genius.

Now I know you making yourself out to be an ***.

I told you how to properly post and I told you WHY you should do so. I then
gave you the answer.

Boy! You need to toughen up a bit. Then, start doing things according to
convention.

Well Richard: First of all I did uninstall the McAffee from the computer.
And again this was my first time comming to this Site. And I was not aware of
all of the rule and regulations of posting.

Now again It just proves my point no-one representing MS will talk to the
common man about their problem in a clear concise, layman, terms to help.

And agian forgive me for being such a Dik for posting my problem.
And a word of advice...if you really cant help..dont try to me a know it all
an pretend to give out good advice.

As far as you THREAD....J/C screw it

Again. If you want YOUR problem to be noticed, start a new thread/post. Is
that too hard for you to do?

And, give a tad bit more information than you do here.

I am through till I see your new thread.

You need to structure your messages if you want help and as in any "society" you
need to fit in and not lose your cool.

I'm glad to see that you have now followed the advice you were given.

BTW, You replied to my message which was a reply to someone else with a problem
and I made a suggestion there which you could take. You can get excellent laptop
and especially Toshiba laptop support over in the Compuserve LAPTOP Computing
Forum:

http://community.compuserve.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?webtag=ws-laptop

You don't have to be a member any more; just sign in with an AIM name and
password if you want to do more than read. But you'll find people there who can
help set up your network and who know the ins and outs of Toshiab and aother
laptops. And from there you can also get to other Forums who can be helpful with
Windows and Networking.
