Vista USB Mass Storage Device Driver

I have an Acer 9410Z with Windows Vista Home Premium. Vista recognizes that
I have a flashdrive connected to USB, but cannot provide a driver. Flash is
supposed to be plug and play and works just find on Windows XP. Flash
manufacturer does not have a driver for this hardware.

Is there any way I can use my flash drives, as I have several of the same
type, Memorex TD 2C 2.0.??

contains the solution. The INFCACHE.1 file is the issue. Of note, I did
not have to boot from the DVD - couldn't if I wanted to as my hard drive is
encrypted. Instead, change the security of the files mentioned in the
article to all Users to have Full Control, then you can delete them. I've
had no further USB drive issues since. I've tried SD, flash card, hard
drive, notebook wireless mouse, and notebook webcam.
